Kindergarten Updates

Miss Weiss’ Classroom News!                                                           April  11-15      Things you’ll need to know:
·        Wednesday, April 13th- Japan Day- we will be wrapping up our cultural unit by “taking a trip” to Japan and having a whole morning dedicated to games and activities that correlate with what we’ve learned over the last 2 weeks. Be ready to wear Kimonos a have a great time! We have a selection of kimonos in our classrooms, but if your child has their own kimono or tae kwon do outfit, they’re allowed to wear that to school.

-Reading: We will have 1 more week without small groups. We have a couple achievement tests to finish, and then the rest of the year will be back on track with reading groups. Sight words: n/a

-Math: This week will consist of learning components of a calendar, yesterday, today, tomorrow, seasons, and begin telling time.

-Jesus Time: Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man: Mark 2:1-12- Jesus healed a paralyzed man whose friends lowered him down into a crowded room through an opening in a roof.

-Social Studies: This is the last week of our Japan Unit. We will complete this unit with Japan Day on Wednesday.
